Your Website Emits Energy - Is Yours Attractive?

Discover The Secrets of When Clients Want To Pay You More

July 17th, 2007 by Patricia Ogilvie

Don’t you just love it when your client relationships work? They “get it” and you feel proud you helped them out. That’s when you can be sure they will refer you, call you back and want to work with you again and again.

For example, when I got off the phone with my client LF, I knew in my heart she was pumped to get the next phase of her business up and running. I was in sync and she was in sync. The truth is, this doesn’t always happen for me or my clients. And here’s why.

FOCUS Puts Power In Your Company!

Let me explain. First, take a look at your current brochure, business card and web site. What do they have in common? Now, how much do they differ? If for example your web site is focussed on women in business and your brochure speaks to corporations to hire you, is your marketing material on track? Is it focussed on your ideal target market? NO! That means your business goals are scattered. That means, confusion. That means no business.

When your business focus and goals are scattered, so is your effect. Your business suffers and you stand open-mouthed, hands on your hips, wondering why.

Get A New Mental Picture Of Your Business

The scattered business is one trying to be all things to all people. Your marketing material cannot attract and keep quality, paying clients. In fact, the main reason your business gets scattered and thins is because you are not clear about who your ideal prospect is. So how can you meet his/her needs if you don’t know who you’re marketing to?

Experience has shown that when businesses rebrand and change their image, they finally notice that, for one reason or another, they “see” clearly that they weren’t focussed on the ideal customer to them. And here’ the clinch - there customers didn’t feel special either!

Now, I’m not saying spend a fortune rebranding. What I am suggesting is get clear about “who” your prospect base is.

One Ideal Customer Puts More Money In Your Business Coffers Than 10 Maybe’s

Here’s how: you do not need to be a marketing genius to zero in on who your target prospect should be. What you do require is the desire and focus - oh and one more thing - the guts to AIM your material, presentations and time onto one goal or “target”.

That’s right - you need the guts!

This goal or “target” of ideal clients will become clear when you decide first that it already exists. You must believe that your ideal customer is here for you in actual or potential form. Then, your marketing material, written to the ideal will work like a Samantha’s “Bewitched” charm!

Great job today!
